3. structure:
3.1 structure of instruments
1. display screen
2. electrode socket
3. back light screen button
4. power on/ off
5. mode key
press this key, you can switch to “dissolved oxygen measure/zero oxygen
calibration/span calibration/salinity setting.
6. set key
press this key to store the value when it is at /zero oxygen
calibration/span calibration/salinity setting.
7. ↑key 8. ↓key adjust the salinity value when it is working at salinity
setting.
9.electrode
When it shows “LOBAT” on screen, you should change battery.
3.2 electrode
1. screw, connect to electrode socket
2. oxygen electrode.
4. operation and calibration
1. put into the battery.
2. press power key, the instruments can start working automaticly, there’s
four mode of working.
You can switch the working mode by # 5 mode key .
When it shows:
It is measuring dissolved oxygen.
Remarks: when the electrode is not connected, or the temperature electrode
doesn’t work, the insruments will show 25℃, the dissolved oxygen will be
measured as 25℃
If it is the first time to use it, or you havn’t used it for quite a long
time, you should calibrate the electrode according to charper No.4.3
4.3 calibration.
New electrode, electrode that not used for over 24 hours, when new solution
is installed, the electrode need to be polarized for 30-60 minutes,
When electrode left the instruments, or the instrument is off for 1 hour, the
electrode should be polarizedfor 5—25 minutes.
4.3.1
Zero oxygen calibration
Put the dissolved oxygen electrode into newly made 5% sodium sulphate
solution, when the instruments is in the mode of measure dissolved oxygen,
press mode key switch to zero oxygen calibration, store the value when the
reading is stable.
For zero calibration, it will shows this in screen:
Then finish zero calibration, press mode key again switch to full
calibration.
Get out the electrode from the solution, clean it with water and dry it with
clean paper. Put the electrode over the surface of stilled water, but not
contact the water.
Press set key to store the value when the reading is stable. full
calibration finish.
Screen is as follows when setting full calibration.
Press mode key again to switch to salinity setting.
Default salinity value is 0.00, choose a right salinity value before measure
dissolved oxygen. You can set the salinity value by pressing key# 7, key #
8.
5. maintenance
The dissolved oxygen electrode should be stored in distilled water. DO NOT
put it into the sodium sulphate solution.
